Jeet is one of the most experienced bird trainers in the business today. Jeet has been training and developing shows featuring various species of birds for the past 22 years.
For the best of 20 years he was engaged with the Jurong Bird Park, the leading bird park in the world. In the capacity of lead trainer and show manager; Jeet was instrumental in developing new shows and programs; in addition to training, breeding and the display of raptors.
Jeet began his long tenure at the park as an instrumental member of team that developed many other presentations featuring a variety of parrots and other bird species at the park, before specialising in raptors..
In his capacity of the head of this program; in June 2002, he launched the Jurong Bird Park’s newest Bird of Prey Show that Jeet had specially choreographed. When he left the park in late 2006, this show was still the best its kind in the world.
This production comprises of many original ideas and the finale of the show, simulates a ‘wild’ scene of birds like vultures, kites, egrets and crows in a frenzy of action; the first of its kind in any show in the world.
Jeet has also consulted in projects in Indonesia and Japan where his expertise was required to advise on training equipment, shows, husbandry and medical matters.
Subsequently after leaving the park, Jeet has gone on to develop multi species bird shows for the Leo Foo Village Theme Park in Taiwan and the Al Ain Zoo in Abu Dhabi.
The Jurong Bird Park recognized his efforts in the breeding of predatory birds, by awarding Jeet with a special award for his success in the first breeding of Raptors at Jurong Bird Park. (Harris's Hawk).
Jeet currently owns and operates Wildlife In Focus; his company provides a range of specialist services for wildlife parks and zoos in training, show production and management.
Jeet in partnership with Vinodh Ayathan are the executive producers and show management team for the exciting, brand new, multi sensory, theatrical experience called ‘Dark Jungle’, scheduled to open in Sentosa, Singapore in mid 2009.
